Troubleshooting Tips
Unusual Noise   Whenever you hear an unusual noise that seems to be coming from your transmission, we recommend that you bring your car into our shop to have the transmission professionally evaluated by one of our certified technicians. The operation of your vehicle, especially the transmission, should run smoothly with very little noise. If your transmission is making unusual or unusually loud noises we advise you to bring in your automobile for a Free Comprehensive Transmission Analysis so we can thoroughly assess your problem.
Trying to track a noise within your transmission can be complicated. Noises tend to bounce up and down the drive train. The noise may occur at a certain speed, when idling or when first starting out. Sometimes the noise can occur when the vehicle is cold or when it's hot.  It is possible that the noise can be external to the transmission.  In some cases, the noise may indicate a serious transmission problem.  Regardless of what the problem may be, it is very important that the noises be checked out as soon as possible.  Delaying this process can only aggravate the situation and end up costing you more to have repaired.

Delay Going Into Gear  Delay going into gear usually indicates that a component of the transmission is malfunctioning.  The majority of automatic transmissions contain between 300 to 500 parts. With all of these parts being interrelated and at times interdependent of one another, all transmissions will experience some type of complication occasionally.  All of the parts of a transmission are sealed in a hydraulic unit that operates under pressure.  In order to properly assess the problem, we advise that you bring your car in and allow one of our certified technicians to perform a Free Comprehensive Transmission Analysis on your car.
